She has never been shy about any of it, and she has never been careless about it either. Every quote below comes from the linked source.
The Hunting Wives. “I’ve done it in the past and I just think that when it moves the plot forward, I’m all for it. I’m not for gratuitous scenes, and I think that this is necessary to Margo’s character,” she told the New York Post. The scenes were rehearsed with an intimacy coordinator before anyone got to set: “It’s very technical. But when it’s on your TV screens, hopefully it feels very sexy and exciting.” To Yahoo she said she “loved and feared” Margo’s first bathroom scene: “There’s so much power in being secure in who you are and taking that on.”
Brittany Snow on Malin. On the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast, reported by Deadline, Snow said they ate so many mints on set that both of them got sick, and that Akerman kept checking in: “Are you OK? Can I put my hand here?” And: “She’d be like, ‘Do you want me to put my body here so you don’t have to show this part of yourself?’ I was like, this is so selfless and nice.” At a panel reported by Elite Daily, Akerman remembered telling Snow before their first scene: “Britt, you know what? We’re f*cking beautiful. We’ve worked hard for these bodies.”
Watchmen. “It was important to me that it wasn’t gratuitous in any way,” she told the Mirror. “I saw it at a screening with my father and my whole body froze because I knew it was coming. But it was cool because my dad went, ‘Nice job. You look really good.'” She told CBR the Owlship chair was so tight she got huge bruises on her legs: “Try explaining that to your husband.”
The Heartbreak Kid. “They were quite acrobatic. Peter actually performed them for me before because I did not understand what he was saying,” she told ComingSoon. “It’s like you’re in a really funny scene and you just happen to be having sex in it.” On nudity in general, to Bullz-Eye: “I’m definitely not prudish when it comes to those things. If the scene requires it, and it’s for a reason and not gratuitous, then yeah, absolutely.”

The Hunting Wives was ordered by Starz, moved to Netflix by Lionsgate and dropped all eight episodes on July 21, 2025, according to Deadline. Rebecca Cutter adapted May Cobb’s novel, Brittany Snow plays Sophie, the Chicago transplant who falls under Margo’s spell, and Mr Skin put the episode eight scene at the top of his 2025 list. Season two arrives on Netflix on November 26, 2026, per Variety, which is why her name is back in every search bar.
From Stockholm to The Hunting Wives
She was born in Stockholm in 1978 and grew up in Canada, modeled before she acted, and got noticed in the mid-2000s as Tori on Entourage and Juna on The Comeback. The Heartbreak Kid made her a leading lady in 2007, and Watchmen put her in a latex suit and on every poster two years later.
After that came 27 Dresses, Couples Retreat, Rock of Ages and the sitcom Trophy Wife, then years as Lara Axelrod on Billions, and finally Margo Banks, the part that lets her be funny, frightening and naked in the same scene.
