Scarlett Johansson has spent more than twenty years as the most photographed face in any room, and she has been remarkably stingy with everything below it.
Every Scarlett Johansson Nude and Love Scene, Ranked
Three from one film, one from a Wilde comedy and two where the heat is all weather and chemistry.

1. The Under the Skin Mirror Scene (2013)
She studies her reflection like a manual she’s reading for the first time.

2. The Under the Skin Void Walk (2013)
A black room, a floor that isn’t a floor and a man who keeps following.

3. The Under the Skin Opening (2013)
A white nowhere, a fresh outfit and the first minutes of a very odd career.

4. The A Good Woman Slip (2004)
Amalfi, 1930, a slinky gown and a moment that’s over before you notice it.

5. The Match Point Rain Scene (2005)
A thunderstorm, a wheat field and Jonathan Rhys Meyers forgetting he’s engaged. No nudity, just weather.

6. The Vicky Cristina Barcelona Darkroom Kiss (2008)
Penélope Cruz, a photo darkroom and the scene half of Barcelona still asks about. Not nude, still hot.
Mr. Skin counts exactly two roles where the nudity is actually hers. One is a single second in an Oscar Wilde comedy. The other is Under the Skin, Jonathan Glazer’s alien masterpiece, and right now it’s the fastest-rising nude-scene search attached to her name. So that’s where we start: a strange, cold, brilliant film in which the biggest star in Hollywood takes off her clothes and makes it feel like the least sexy thing in the world, on purpose. The rest of this list is honest about what’s nude, what’s merely steamy and what’s somebody else entirely.
Not ranked, but people ask: in He’s Just Not That Into You the skinny-dip shows her legs and then her head in the pool, and the nudity in Don Jon comes from inserted adult-film clips, not from her.
Watch First: The Under the Skin Mirror Scene (2013)
An alien, a borrowed room in the Highlands and a long look in the glass at the body she’s been wearing like a coat. The whole story is on the Under the Skin mirror scene page.

Under the Skin

A Good Woman, Match Point and Vicky Cristina Barcelona

Why Now: Paper Tiger and Ray Gunn
On September 25, 2026, James Gray’s Paper Tiger opened the 64th New York Film Festival at Alice Tully Hall, four months after its world premiere in competition at Cannes. Johansson plays Hester Pearl, wife and mother in a 1980s Queens family that gets tangled up with the Russian mob, opposite Adam Driver and Miles Teller. Neon opens it in limited release on November 13, with a nationwide expansion a week later.
Two days earlier, Netflix dropped the first trailer for Brad Bird’s animated Ray Gunn, in which she voices Venus Nova, “a multimedia star,” opposite Sam Rockwell’s private eye in a city called Metropia. It gets a limited 70mm run on December 4 and lands on Netflix December 18. Nobody has reported any nudity in either film, and one of them is a cartoon, so adjust your expectations accordingly.
The Movie Star Who Keeps Picking the Weird One
She was born Scarlett Ingrid Johansson in New York City on November 22, 1984. Her films as a lead have grossed over $15.4 billion worldwide, which is the sort of number that usually buys you permission to stop taking chances. She took them anyway. She won a Tony for A View from the Bridge in 2010, and in one year picked up two Oscar nominations, for Marriage Story and Jojo Rabbit, only the twelfth performer ever to manage that.
Under the Skin is the purest example of that streak. She stayed committed for four years before it got made, learned to drive a van and mastered an English accent. Glazer said casting somebody that well known “out of context” made sense; watching her walk down a street in a pink jumper through a long lens, “she looks like an exotic insect on the wrong continent.” People she passed rarely recognized her, because nobody believed it could be her. On the nudity she was typically clear-eyed: “I’m not a provocative person. It’s not like I live to be photographed in the buff.” She’s been married to Colin Jost since 2020, which tells you she likes a man who can survive live television.
What’s Next: The Exorcist, The Batman and a Birthday
She turns 42 on November 22, a week after Paper Tiger opens. Mike Flanagan’s The Exorcist, where she’s the lead-billed star, is set for March 12, 2027. Then she’s Gilda Dent, Harvey’s wife, in The Batman: Part II, which is currently dated February 18, 2028, after several delays. That’s a horror film and a Gotham noir back to back. Somebody’s agent enjoys a dark room.
The Bar Argument at Closing Time
Is there a Scarlett Johansson sex tape?
No. She has never made one, and whatever a sketchy site is selling under that name is counterfeit, or a virus with a thumbnail. The genuine article, all of it from films she chose to make, is right here.
Is it really her body in Under the Skin?
Yes, as far as any credible source says. No double has been reported for any of her scenes in the film.
What about Asteroid City?
There’s a towel-drop scene in Wes Anderson’s film, and it made headlines in 2023, but the brief frontal nudity in the mirror belongs to a credited body double, Katy Heffernan Smith. So it gets no page here. Johansson’s own review of the shoot: “There was a lot of throat clearing and [Wes] sort of hiding his face.”
Why are some of her films missing?
We leave out anything shot before she turned 18, any role where the character is still in school, and any scene built around assault or coercion, whatever it shows.
Other Company Worth Keeping
- Adam Pearson: the man who follows her into the void in Under the Skin.
- Jonathan Rhys Meyers: her partner in the Match Point downpour.
- Penélope Cruz: María Elena to her Cristina.
- Helen Hunt: Mrs. Erlynne in A Good Woman.
More actresses: Anne Hathaway’s nude scenes, Vicky Krieps’s nude scenes, Sydney Sweeney’s nude scenes, Lili Reinhart’s nude scenes.
