What She Said About Getting Naked
She has talked about every one of these scenes, usually with more candor than her publicists would like. All quotes below are from the linked interviews.
Red Sparrow. “Red Sparrow really scared the hell out of me because I get nude,” she told Vanity Fair in 2018. She tried to do the film without nudity, then decided “it just wouldn’t be right to put the character through something that I, myself, am not willing to go through.” On the difference between the hack and the film: “One is my choice. I got something back that was taken from me, and it also felt normal.” After wrapping the nude scenes she told a crew that had known her since The Hunger Games, “I hope you guys feel creepy.” On 60 Minutes she put it shorter, as quoted by IndieWire: “It’s my body, it’s my art, and it’s my choice. And if you don’t like boobs, you should not go see Red Sparrow.”
Passengers. At The Hollywood Reporter’s 2015 actress roundtable she called her first real sex scene “really bizarre” and admitted, “I got really, really drunk.” Chris Pratt was married, and she said guilt “is like the worst feeling in your stomach.” Pratt’s version, via Vanity Fair: “She wanted to have some wine, so we did, and that was nice.”
No Hard Feelings. “Everyone in my life and my team is doing the right thing and going, ‘Are you sure? Are you sure? Are you sure?'” she told Variety. “I didn’t even have a second thought. It was hilarious to me.” The sequence took about a day after a lot of rehearsal. Director Gene Stupnitsky told GQ that “there’s nothing sexy about the nudity. It’s all pure rage and violence,” and that it is all Lawrence except one shot, a suplex, done by a double.
Die My Love. On the Las Culturistas podcast, as reported by Variety, she said she felt “really safe with Rob” and “I don’t care about nudity. I’m not sensitive about it.” She was pregnant during the shoot, and when the editors offered to touch up a close-up of cellulite, her answer was: “No. That’s an ass.”
Why Now: She Finally Joined Instagram
On September 9, 2026 she opened an Instagram account as @jlaw, because @jenniferlawrence was taken, and gathered nearly a million followers in a day, per Variety. Her first post warned that if anyone says anything negative, “I will quit immediately, no questions asked.” A few days earlier she told Vogue she gets “baby Botox” because an actor needs a face that moves. The searches followed her, as they always do.
From Winter’s Bone to Die My Love
She broke out in Winter’s Bone in 2010, became Katniss Everdeen and the biggest young star on earth, and won the best actress Oscar for Silver Linings Playbook at 22. She founded her own company, Excellent Cadaver, in 2018 and produced Causeway and No Hard Feelings. Die My Love premiered at Cannes and earned her a Golden Globe nomination.
What makes her nude filmography interesting is the arc. In 2015 she got drunk to survive one sex scene. In 2018 she was terrified and did it anyway. By Die My Love she was pregnant, tired and done apologizing for her body. That’s not a scandal. That’s a woman growing up in public and winning.
What’s Next: Scorsese, DiCaprio and Katniss
Her next big lead is Martin Scorsese’s What Happens at Night, opposite Leonardo DiCaprio, expected next year from Apple. She is reported to be making the rom-com One Month Mark, also for Apple, and developing a Miss Piggy movie with Emma Stone. Variety expects a small Katniss cameo in this November’s The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping. Nothing on that list is announced as nude, and I will not pretend otherwise.

Is there a Jennifer Lawrence sex tape?
No. There never was one. There is a 2014 crime in which her private photos were stolen, and there are films she chose to be naked in. This page covers only the second.
Did she use a body double in No Hard Feelings?
Only for one shot. Stupnitsky told GQ that the whole beach sequence is her except a suplex performed by a double.
Why isn’t the Red Sparrow shower scene here?
Because it is an attempted rape. A classmate attacks Dominika in the showers and she fights him off. The same goes for the hotel scene with Ustinov, which turns into an assault and then a killing. Neither is published here.
What about the nudity in mother!?
The film’s nude moments come from its violent final act, in which a mob beats her and tears at her clothes. That’s out. The see-through nightgown from the first act is in.
