What happens in Fifty Shades Freed
By the third film Ana and Christian are married, they have a new house, a security team and a stalker from her old job, and the Red Room has become a room they visit together rather than a place he takes her. In this scene her arms are cuffed out to each side, a blindfold goes on, and Christian takes his time with her while she laughs and gasps.
The newlyweds are still experimenting, and the film treats it as married fun rather than a test she has to pass. Johnson, three films into the role, plays it with total ease. It is the last big set piece of the trilogy, and if you watched all three in a row you can see a woman who went from reading the contract to rewriting it.
