Netflix’s thriller casts Seyfried as “The Girl,” an adult hacker who wipes people’s records clean. Clive Owen plays a detective who is working undercover when they meet, which is a lousy foundation for romance and a great one for a thriller. They shot from early September 2016 in New York and Toronto; she was thirty. The press at release was blunt about it (IANS went with “Amanda Seyfried goes topless for film”), which is accurate and also the least interesting thing you could say about the picture.

The fullest moment is 00:43:48. Seen from her point of view in a mirror, she does her makeup and lets the robe drop, breasts and butt in frame. A mirror shot in a movie about who gets to look is either very clever or very convenient, and I’ve stopped caring which. At 00:46:48 Owen’s character daydreams a brief topless flash of her, a man imagining exactly what he wants. At 00:58:32 they have sex; her butt is in view and the bra stays on. It’s consensual as depicted, though his cover story means deception is baked into the romance, which keeps it from playing like a free sample. No body double has been reported.
