So here’s my confession. I’ve been in love with Zoe Saldaña since I learned she quit ballet because, in her words, she didn’t “have the feet,” and had too much pride to spend her life in the corps de ballet.

Why Now: Lioness Season 3 Is Over
Lioness ended its third season on September 20, 2026, eight episodes after the August 2 premiere, which Paramount says drew 7.1 million viewers worldwide in its first seven days. The finale left two bombs on the table: a season-one enemy still coming for Joe, and Neal gone with the girls, a For Sale sign on the lawn and the closets bare. After all those showers, the marriage walked out the front door.
Paramount+ said on September 23 that there has “not yet been an official renewal.” Saldaña, who once said she signed up for “three seasons at least,” told Collider that if the show gets cancelled after this reception, “I am going to be a little vocal about it.” Nicole Kidman told fans to “demand” a fourth. Put me down as demanding.
The Dancer Who Outgrossed Everybody
She was born June 19, 1978, in Passaic, New Jersey, grew up in Queens, and studied dance in the Dominican Republic before a guest spot on Law & Order in 1999 started the acting career. Steven Spielberg showed her the Vulcan salute on The Terminal; five years later Abrams asked for her as Uhura, and Nichelle Nichols, who had created Uhura’s background, briefed her personally. Then came Neytiri, then Gamora, played in makeup rather than CGI. In March 2025 she won the Oscar for Emilia Pérez, the first Dominican American actress to do it.
She has a clear philosophy about skin. On The Losers she refused a scripted nude scene and negotiated it down to underwear, because, she said, “there’s a limit.” Around the same time she complained that movies don’t have enough sex: “sex is natural, guns are not.” Hold both thoughts and you have her. Sex belongs on screen, and she decides how much of her goes with it.
The romantic footnote: she married the Italian artist Marco Perego in 2013, and he took her surname. They have three children. Men rarely do that. Hers did.
What’s Next: Season Four, Pandora and Positano
The big question is Lioness. Nothing is confirmed either way. Avatar 4 is dated December 21, 2029, and Avatar 5 December 19, 2031, dates a producer has called “tentative.” In the meantime there’s Positano for Netflix with Matthew McConaughey, no release date yet, and Riverrun, where she plays a psychiatrist opposite Charlotte Gainsbourg and Vicky Krieps.

Is there a Zoe Saldaña sex tape?
Short answer: no, and there never was one. The sites promising a bedroom video of her and her husband are selling you a members’ button, not a movie. What’s real is all here, and every frame of it was her call.
Is that really her body in the Colombiana shower?
No. That shot is a stand-in; Mr. Skin says so flatly, and aznude tags the clip the same way. The only Colombiana moment we list as hers is the morning after.
Is she nude in Avatar?
No. Neytiri is performance capture, and her outward appearance is entirely computer-generated. The performance is Saldaña’s. The body belongs to a render farm.
Why isn’t the season 3, episode 2 Lioness scene here?
Because it’s a coercion scene, and ATC doesn’t cover coercion. We also skip scenes built around assault and anything where a character’s age can’t be established.
Is Zoe Saldaña leaving Lioness?
Nothing says she is. The searches spiked after the finale, but the show is neither renewed nor cancelled, and she’s said that if they get to come back, she’d be grateful.
