Why Now: The Love Hypothesis
Prime Video dropped The Love Hypothesis on September 23, 2026: Reinhart as Olive Smith, a Stanford PhD candidate who fake-dates the most feared professor in the department (Tom Bateman) and then, at an out-of-town conference, stops faking. Claire Scanlon directed, and the hotel-room scene is the one book fans know simply as Chapter 16. It’s also the first time Reinhart has been nude on camera, per Harper’s Bazaar, though it’s a flicker, not a feature.
She’s refreshingly plain about it. “We want it to be a bit of a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it sort of nip slip, rather than full frontal,” she told Cosmopolitan UK, adding that it was her first time signing a true nudity rider. They shot it in front of an open window, and she joked at a Bustle Q&A that the passersby “probably got a free show that night.” We don’t have clean footage of it yet, so there’s no clip here; it gets its own page when we do.

She was born in Cleveland in September 1996, grew up in Bay Village, Ohio, and was cast as Betty Cooper in February 2016. Riverdale premiered in January 2017 and ran seven seasons on The CW, long enough to rack up seven Teen Choice Awards and a very online fan base with opinions about everything, including her body.
