The Good Girl (2002) is the role that told everyone she was more than Rachel. Jennifer Aniston plays Justine Last, a bored thirty-year-old stuck behind the counter of a Texas discount store, and Jake Gyllenhaal is Holden, the moody new cashier who will not leave her alone. This page is their motel. Warm lamps, a cheap quilted bedspread, a kiss by the door in a red hoodie and a denim jacket, and then the sheets. The affair is the whole engine of the movie.
What happens in the scene
Justine and Holden meet at the motel. A long kiss by the door, then bed: his bare back, her hands on him, the sheet pulled up, a bedside lamp throwing warm light across them. There is some side nudity in the clip, and a lot of feeling.
It is the start of the affair that wrecks everything in the second half. As a scene on its own, it is the most adult Aniston had been on screen at that point.
