As previously reported, the star is in the Promises clinic after a recent troubled spell following the breakdown of her marriage to Kevin Federline.
However, the suicide watch claims have been strongly denied by the singer’s manager Larry Rudolf, who told US entertainment news show ‘Extra’: “She is in rehab, and it is very disappointing that various media outlets are running these false stories about her, as Britney tries to get better.”
Meanwhile, a lawyer for Spears‘ estranged husband Federline cancelled an emergency hearing in a Los Angeles court which was due to take place this Thursday (February 29) concerning the custody of the couple’s two children.

Britney Spears has taken ecstasy and cocaine for years, her former sister-in-law has claimed.
Amanda Alexander - sister of Britney’s first husband Jason Alexander, who was married to the pop superstar for just 55 hours in 2004 - says she has seen the ‘Toxic’ singer taking the drugs.
Amanda, who claims she witnessed Britney taking cocaine in their hometown of Kentwood, Louisiana, told In Touch Weekly magazine: “When I was around her, she took ecstasy.”
Another acquaintance of Britney’s from Kentwood, Kent Smith, said: “I’ve known Britney at least 10 years. We partied at Club 360 in New Orleans three years ago. She does like to party. I’ve been there when she’s done ecstasy and cocaine.”
Sources also allege Britney’s drug use caused her split from husband Kevin Federline. Their marriage ended shortly after they were seen having a huge row on Halloween (31.10.06), the night his debut album was launched.
A source said: “Kevin was mad because he knew she was high on coke.”
Kevin has now demanded an emergency custody hearing to decide who will get guardianship of the couple’s two sons - 17-month-old Sean Preston and five-month-old Jayden James. (c) BANG

Washington, Feb 24: Britney Spears’ manager Larry Rudolph has slammed reports that the troubled singer is on a “suicide watch” while at the Promises rehab center in Malibu.
Reports suggested that Spears fled her home in Malibu, California late on Friday, Feb 23 and started walking into oncoming traffic - in a bid to end her life.
However, Rudolph has slammed the reports as holding no truth whatsoever, and has asked the media to give Britney a break.
“The story is absolutely untrue. She is in rehab, and it is very disappointing that various media outlets are running these false stories about her, as Britney tries to get better,” People magazine quoted him, as telling Extra.
Britney entered rehab for the third time after estranged husband Kevin Federline told her to get help, or risk losing custody of the couple’s two young sons – Sean Preston and Jayden James.
On Thursday, Feb 22, Spears’ father, Jamie, told FOX News from his home in Louisiana that his daughter is “a sick little girl. … We’re just trying to take care of her.”
He also insisted that the singer’s problems were “not about what other people think” and that he and Spears’ mom, Lynne, are “concerned about our daughter.” (ANI)

According to the agency, Spears went to soon-to-be ex husband Kevin Federline’s house at “around 7 pm and rang the bell at his gate three times with no answer.”
The agency added that Britney Spears “was
so frustrated that when her assistant stopped the car, Britney grabbed an umbrella and went after our photographers.”
Throughout the incident, Britney’s assistant helplessly tried to plead with photographers who were filming the entire incident on video.
After Britney swung at the vehicle and hit at least one photographer with the umbrella, a photographer was heard telling her that she would “get in trouble for that.” Britney yelled a number of words to them, including, “f**k you,” as she ran back into the vehicle that her assistant was driving. Once Britney got back inside of the car, her assistant drove off.
Britney Spears has checked back into rehab since then. Maybe this was the reason that Britney’s soon-to-be ex-husband Kevin Federline cancelled an emergency court appearance regarding the custody of their two sons.
Both Spears and Federline are seeking sole custody of their sons. Earlier this month, a second temporary order granted both parties joint custody of their sons Jayden James, 5 months, and Sean Preston, 17 months, through February.
News of the emergency hearing came after Britney’s wild behavior over the past week, which included Britney being a patient at two different rehab centers in the same week. Between rehab visits, Britney Spears went to a salon and took a razor to her own head, shaving off all of her hair after the salon’s owner refused to do it.
Kevin Federline’s attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan, said in a statement, “Kevin continues to be a very focused father with his children with hands-on management.”

Britney Spears has checked out of rehab after just one day for the second time in a week, as estranged husband Kevin Federline seeks an emergency court hearing.
The troubled pop princess reportedly called a car for herself and walked out of the Promises residential treatment centre in Malibu, California.
She had been pictured at the facility with her newly shaven head on display wearing a pink vest top bearing the slogan “Delicious”.
Meanwhile, Federline’s lawyer will try to persuade court officials to expedite the custody case involving the couple’s two sons.
Last week Britney managed to last just 24 hours in Eric Clapton’s Crossroads rehab facility in Antigua, before prompting speculation that she may be on the verge of a nervous breakdown by walking into a hair salon and shaving off her own hair.
Spears turned up at Esther’s Hair Salon in Tarzana, California, and demanded that the owner shave her head. When Esther Tognozzi refused, she grabbed the clippers and did the job herself as shocked bystanders and paparazzi stared through the windows.
There are suggestions that the 25-year-old had opted for the drastic makeover because she believed that lice were eating her hair extensions and was heard to say at the weekend: “I had to get rid of the lice. They were horrible.”
Last November, Federline filed papers seeking spousal support and sole custody of the children after Spears sought to end their two-year marriage last November.

Several reports have surfaced that suggest Britney Spears may have shaved off her locks to avoid a possible folicle test by Kevin Federline.

As far as her overall erratic behavior goes, it’s the result of the pop superstar’s fears of losing her kids to estranged husband Kevin Federline, according to her ex-boyfriend Isaac Cohen.
The singer and mother-of-two stunned fans and paparazzi photographers when she tearfully cut all her hair off in a Los Angeles salon on Friday (16Feb07), before having two tattoos etched on her chest.
But Cohen, who briefly dated the Toxic singer earlier this year (07), insists her wayward behaviour stems from the fear of losing her two baby sons, Sean Preston and five-month old Jayden James, following her split with Federline last year (06).
He says, “Britney’s boys mean everything to her and she worried she might lose them in a custody battle. It was clear she was not over her marriage.

Newly bald Britney Spears checked into rehab again on Tuesday after a bizarre weekend that included tattoos and a shocking new hairdo.
Spears’ manager, Larry Rudolph, told People magazine’s Web site that Spears, 25, had voluntarily checked herself into a treatment facility.
“We ask that the media respect her privacy as well as those of her family and friends at this time,” Rudolph was quoted as saying.

Spears is a patient at Promises, a treatment center in Malibu, the entertainment television show “Extra” reported. Last week, she checked herself into Eric Clapton’s Crossroads Centre rehab clinic on the Caribbean island of Antigua — but stayed only 24 hours.
Many speculated that the star was having a nervous breakdown or at least a public meltdown when she shaved her own head on Friday night.
Late-night talk-show host Craig Ferguson decided not to poke fun at Spears Monday night, saying that after seeing photos of the pop star’s shorn head, he reconsidered making jokes at her expense.

After the head-shaving stunt, one would think Britney Spears would keep a low profile, and perhaps sort out her chaotic life. Not so!

Although Britney has said things like, ” I am sick of everyone touching me”, or “Why won’t they leave me alone, it’s hard not to focus on the train-wreck that she has become. In what appears to be a mental scream for help, Spears has been seen puking on herself in New York clubs this month, stripping down to her underwear and dancing with strippers, and the most shocking of all - the head buzz.
Apparently Spears has NOT hit rock bottom yet, and has more downward spiraling to do.

A witness told reporters Britney “said she was tired of people touching her head.” That makes total sense. Plus, her hair was getting really gross after all the dye jobs and extensions. Esther Tognozzi, owner of the salon where Spears stopped in to self-shave her head, told Extra,
“She was just there in body and not really emotionally there.” Hmm, jet-lagged from her non-stint at a Caribbean rehab clinic? The Post details more of what happened:
“I tried to talk her out of it. I said, ‘Are you sure you’re not having a bad day and tomorrow you’ll feel differently about it? Why don’t we wait a little bit?’ ” Tognozzi told CNN.”I didn’t want to be liable, I didn’t want to get sued,” Tognozzi explained in the “Extra” interview. “I didn’t want her agent to call me and say you ruined her image.”
So the Kentwood, La., native did what any country girl would do - she picked up the shears and plum did it herself.
Tognozzi felt bad for her and decided to help the single mother of 18-month-old Sean Preston and 5-month-old Jayden James finish the job, Us said.
And when it was over, Spears, who separated from hubby Kevin Federline last year, seemed to be thinking, “Oops, I did it again!”
“She just looked in the mirror and said with tears in her eyes, ‘Oh, my God, I shaved it all off. My mom is going to be so upset with me,’ ” Tognozzi told Us Weekly.
“You know what I told her, she’s lucky she has a nice shaped head. She looked cute, she’s a cute little girl,” Tognozzi told “Extra.”
It’s good to know that CNN is on top of this story, too. And the salon owner’s husband says Spears’s hair may be auctioned off for charity. Spears’s new tattoos include a cross and a pair of lips.
